 Adult Powerlifting Suspension List

Drug Testing Status

AAU Powerlifting utilizes the services of The National Center for Drug Free Sports Inc. for the collection of samples, and in turn they use the services of the UCLA Lab, which is an USOC and IOC approved lab, to process the samples which are collected at our sanctioned meets. We test about ten (10) percent, plus or minus, of all adult athletes in our sanctioned meets. The sample collection happens either in-meet or out-of-meet, with notification. Refusal to provide a sample is considered a positive test result and the athlete/lifter will be suspended.

SANCTIONS FOR POSITIVE DRUG TEST RESULTS ARE AS FOLLOWS:
(Refusal to be drug tested the penalty is the same as if there is a positive result)
